CINDY ROSEN

Cindy Rosen earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boise State University.  She was a member of the Boise State University Honors Program and is a Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society Alumni.  She was awarded Teacher of the Year at Hillside Junior High in 1993.  She taught Vocal Music for twelve years at secondary schools in Idaho and was an Elementary General Music teacher in Boise and Jerome School Districts for six years.

 

She has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Music Educators National Conference, was Editor of the Northwestern Division American Choral Directors Association Newsletter, and served on the board of the Boise Master Chorale.  She is a private voice instructor and has been a volunteer director for

community ensembles and church choirs throughout her career.

She moved to Florida in 2006 to help care for her two grandsons and recently moved back to Idaho where she currently stays involved in the music scene in capacities such as guest clinician, judge for solo and festival competitions, and as a substitute teacher.  She is currently working on a new music camp for children that will begin in the summer of 2012.
